Strefi Hill can be found in the Exarchia area. Everyone knows about the hill of Philopappou and Lycabettus, but only a few visited this place.

It has a quiet small park and a perfect spot to take photos of Lycabettos.

The “inhabitants” of Lofos Strefi are Agave, cacti and various trees. There is a basketball court as well.

The alternative student area of Exarchia is considered as a "trouble" place, but in reality freedom lives here! The street walls are decorated with very interesting graffiti.

There are also good restaurants, bars and even bookstores. During your stroll around Exarchia Square you can find a lot of cool things.

Pity since this is a real hydrological miracle! Its construction was completed in 140 AD and this is essentially a 2,000 year-old Roman cistern that supplied the water needs of the Athenians for over a thousand years!

TAF (The Art Foundation), Athens
TAF (The Art Foundation)

TAF (The Art Foundation) is a unique atmospheric place, hidden in a side street next to the Monastiraki flea market. It is located in a neoclassical building from the 1870s. An unremarkable door leads you into a tree-lined courtyard with a bar. There are buildings around the courtyard: the second floor is divided into rooms where locals used to live, while other rooms are cells in which art pieces are exhibited.

Ideal for those who like to escape the hustle and bustle of the tourist area. The main contingent of the visitors are locals.

Open from 10:00 to 3:00 daily. Coffee and cocktails are worth trying. Sometimes there is a live DJ performance in the evening.

Dylan: A New Fine Dining Experience in Athens

Hidden among a bookstore and a Pakistani grill on the pedestrian street of Agia Zoni, a hidden gem awaits. Dylan, a new and exciting restaurant by talented chef Vangelis Veis, offers a unique dining experience that combines gourmet Greek cuisine with a cozy and intimate atmosphere.

With only a bar that seats 10 people and a few tables on the pedestrian street, Dylan is a small but vibrant space. Electric guitars adorn the walls, a staircase leads to a small loft filled with books, and a vintage mirror with a gilded frame is covered in yellow Post-its with Bob Dylan lyrics.

Veis, who previously worked at Hytra and Soil alongside Thanos Mantis, has created a seven-course à la carte menu that showcases his passion for seasonal ingredients and creative cooking. The dishes are beautifully presented and packed with flavor, and many customers choose to order the entire menu to share.

If you're looking for a truly special dining experience in Athens, Dylan is definitely worth a visit. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is charming, and the service is excellent.

We advise you to save our post not to waste your time in Athens!
